Two Blue reflects on the importance of human relationships in the construction of one’s identity. How do relationships influence the development of our personality and our actions ?

 

Two sisters, two friends, the interpretations here are multiple and open to the spectator’s imagination. In any case, it is clear that these young women’s movements question each other, respond to each other, and ultimately complete each other. Their steps lead them to trust each other, without fake pretences.

 

During the duet’s evolution, this relationship is progressively woven and reinforced, a common thread that develops according to different meetings, partings, and choices. The choices here are multiple, and the two women pick a path, together.

 

The function of this piece was for the artists to let their thoughts and movement run free and far and wide, with no constraints, and to see how these separate trajectories can come together – recognizing the common themes that emerge, rather than trying to manufacture the similarities. Two Blue is a free expression of souls singing through the body, fitting the harmonies together as they go. If we do not dance for the sake of our souls, why dance at all?

 

 

 

 

Two Blue est né d’une réflexion sur l’importance des rapports humains dans la construction de soi. Comment les relations influent-elle sur le développement de la personnalité et sur notre manière d’agir ?

 

Deux sœurs, deux amies, les lectures ici sont multiples et ouvertes à l'imagination du spectateur. De toute évidence, les mouvements des deux jeunes femmes se questionnent, se répondent et se complètent. Une relation de confiance s’installe au fil des pas, sans faux semblant. Un rapport qui se tisse au fur et à mesure de l'évolution du duo et se renforce, tel un fil conducteur, qui peut se modifier en fonction des rencontres et des choix. Les choix sont multiples et on choisit un chemin, ensemble.

 

Cette pièce est née de l’amalgame (ou âme-algame) des visions individuelles des chorégraphes. Un même point de départ offre des points de vue différents mais complémentaires, qui résultent dans l’union de leurs trajectoires, révélant ainsi une beauté kaléidoscopique.

 

En laissant libre cours aux pensées et au mouvement, il fut possible d’observer comment des trajectoires séparées peuvent se retrouver – en reconnaissant les thèmes communs qui émergent, au lieu d’artificiellement fabriquer des similitudes.
